The MS-7869 uses the LGA 1150 socket. It natively supports the architecture (4th Generation). It does not support the later "Devil's Canyon" (Refresh) or "Broadwell" (5th Gen) CPUs without a specific BIOS update, which is difficult to find for Ver 1.0 boards.
